Why it’s always me

I work with AI every day. Claude is my thinking partner, and Claude Code turns our ideas into working code. Together, we built this website and brought my presentation video online. They never asked for a coffee break.

So, a fair question: why not let them coach you too?

Because coaching is not a task. AI is remarkable at tasks: drafting, sorting, organising, explaining. That is exactly why I bring it into the artists’ practice. But coaching is a relationship. It rests on listening, presence, judgement and lived experience: forty years of meditation, years of coaching in sport and health, my own path as an artist, my own falls and how I got back up. None of that can be handed over to a machine.

The same goes for people. A growing business would hire employees. I can’t, and I don’t want to. What you come for is not a service I could pass on to someone else. It is my attention, my experience and my way of seeing. Delegating it would mean offering you something different.

This has a simple consequence: I can only work with a few artists at a time. Everything rests on me, and I want each artist to have all of me, not a fraction.

The first conversation is free. You will be talking to me, in person.
