About

A yogi with many paths behind him.

Who I am

I am Akxen — a yogi and a coach for artists. Born in 1974, I live in Switzerland.

My life has followed an unusual road: many trades, many landscapes and one constant thread — accompanying people.

From the world of art

Music has been part of my life since my youth. From 2003, I played as an international DJ for more than ten years, and I still mix for my own pleasure. I briefly composed, I have kept solid skills as a sound engineer, and I founded a small music label. Images have always mattered to me too: I worked as a fashion photographer, and I have directed and edited videos — including a couple of short films — with Adobe Premiere Pro.

A coach for many years

Other paths

Along the way, I worked as a press reporter from 1994 to 2016, including many immersive reports abroad. Reporting led me to meet people from every part of society — from people in the street to leading figures in politics and business. From 1994 to 2009, I was listed in the Swiss professional register of journalists and held a press card. I have also been a legal assistant in international tax law. Administration and accounting are part of my daily life — more than a thousand entries a year — and finance has fascinated me since my teens.

I lived for nearly three years in Australia, spent four seasons as an alpine shepherd and three as a ski patroller.

Each of these paths taught me something about people — how to listen, how to encourage, how to help them give their best.

Working with AI

Since late 2023, I have studied AI intensively and worked with several AI systems every day. It has changed the way I work — this site is one result, designed and built with AI, from the code to the illustrations. This is what I share with the artists I coach: how to make AI a true partner in their work.

Always learning

I keep learning, every week: Linux, web development and cybersecurity. AI moves fast, and guiding artists well means moving with it — something I genuinely enjoy.

What inspires my work

Two paths I have walked for decades: the spiritual path, and a deep care for health.

Why an illustration?

You won’t find a photograph of me here. In an age of deepfakes and identity theft, I choose to protect my image. The illustration you see is me, as I live: in meditation, before the Alps.

I created it with AI, like every image on this site.
