Spirituality
Meditation, presence and the nature of mind.
My path
My spiritual path began forty years ago. It has been shaped by study, by regular meditation and by direct encounters with living teachers.
At its heart lies Dzogchen — the “Great Perfection” — a teaching that points directly to the nature of mind: already present, already awake, simply waiting to be recognised.
The 3 Noble Forces
Over the years, my practice has led me to my own understanding of existence, which I call The 3 Noble Forces.
- That which has no word
- The fundamental emptiness in which all matter arises, present everywhere.
- The Force of Light
- The force that governs every emotion, joyful or painful.
- The Force of Black
- The force of detachment and inaction.
Light and Black are perfectly complementary. Their constant interplay weaves existence itself.
The masters who shaped my path
Padmasambhava
The Lotus-Born, who brought Dzogchen to Tibet.
Longchenpa
The great systematiser of the Dzogchen teachings.
Namkhai Norbu
My main Dzogchen teacher, whom I met in person several times, notably at Merigar, Tuscany.
Shantideva
The voice of universal compassion.
Thich Nhat Hanh
The master of engaged mindfulness.

From practice to creation
Presence, clarity and letting go lie at the heart of every creative act. This is what I bring into my work with artists.
